Alternate Day 1 Route

If the prospect of an 80+ mile day in June has you a little nervous, don't worry, we've added an alternate route option.

The first leg of this year's ride stretches from Joplin to Willard—84.3 miles in total. For those who'd prefer a somewhat lower mile count, we are offering a shuttle from Gary's Gay Parita Sinclair Station, shaving about 20 miles off the total trip.

The service station is a reconstruction of a vintage Route 66 Sinclair station, complete with era-appropriate signs and Route 66 memorabilia. Riders wishing to end their journey for the day here are invited to relax and peruse the station as they wait for the Big BAM shuttle, which will carry them to camp in Willard.
